Webcam interface Hardware
The Blackmagic web presenter lets you pretend a totally different camera is your webcam. This is good because your webcam sucks.
This also lets you use an external microphone, which is also good, because your computer microphone probably sucks.
This list doesn’t include:

-Mic to camera cable
Your camera choice will determine what these cables need to be. We can worry about that soon, those things are in plentiful supply.

The BLACKMAGIC hardware comes with NO CABLES. You have to buy them separately.
POWER CABLE: this is a totally normal kettle plug, you can steal one from many household appliances.

USB CABLE: this is what connects the unit to your computer. This is a fairly normal usb cable, most printers use the usb 2 format

TO CREATE A SECOND HDMI INPUT (camera or slide deck):
If you want to use a second HDMI device, like a second camera or your slide deck, you’ll probably need to buy an HDMI>SDI converter.
You can use zoom’s SHARE SCREEN feature, but it’s clunky. I’m currently working out whether you can use the same single computer to run the webcam and act as the slide deck.
The blackmagic hardware has one HDMI input, and one SDI input. You’ll almost certainly have only HDMI devices (SDI is a more professional level vision format)
