Ideas for Judy
Hey legend! I can’t wait to cook up some goodies with you in your home city and surrounds!
Here are a bunch of videos I’ve made for people, have a look and see if the creative juices start flowing.
If you have any ideas for something different and you want to experiment, I’ll probably tell you we can do it.
I love interesting challenges, and I delight in making things that stretch convention.
Burnout and defining success
Digby Scott
A video we recorded in Digby’s lounge room. Two camera shoot, black and white treatment to suit the mood, a bit of atmospheric music to support the emotion.
Digby got amazing feedback from his newsletter readers and LinkedIn network. I really like this one.
People & Culture Circle
Georgia Murch
This 35 second promo generated lots of interest for Georgia’s People & Culture Circle.
Her piece-to-camera was recorded in my living room in Melbourne.
The bored crowd shots are from a three day convention I filmed for an entirely different client, during a particularly boring speech! I hope none of them ever saw this!
The engaged crowd shots are from events I covered for Georgia in the previous months.
Local Legends
Alicia McKay
Alicia wanted to vary the setting and energy across the Local Legends curriculum, so we filmed all over the place!
If you want to get up into the mountains and find some interesting scenery to support your content, this should give you an idea of what it might look like.
This series was sold as part of leadership development program for local councils.
In Thought Leaders parlance, It’s been hugely successful. This series does a whole belt of revenue on its own. BAM.
Alicia still uses excerpts of these videos as LinkedIn content.
Real Schools explainer
Adam Voigt
Adam is another TLBS alumni, and it’s fair to say he outgrew the practice model! He now employs 30 people and runs a successful company leading school culture.
This clip has a bit more going on in the production. There’s imagery and titles, models and effects.
I actually think this video is too long, but their marketing manager insisted on keeping it all in!
Procurement curriculum
Jo Toon
Another lounge room studio! We made this in my living room in Wellington.
It’s part of a curriculum series for people wanting to tender for government contracts.
Jo wanted a cosy homely feel, and was delighted with how this series was received.
Step Into the Spotlight
Russell Pickering
A sample video from the Step Into the Spotlight curriculum series.
We made this in a big co-working space in Auckland, on a weekend when nobody else was around.
This series mirrored the models and design of the book it’s based on.
I particularly like the elegance and simplicity of the titles and models.
What makes the great players great?
Cam Schwab
We went a bit fancy with this one. The camera movement was more technical and difficult than cameras on tripods, but the result was amazing.
My favourite.
